I am here for Friends

My Interests

Music:

I am mainly into what is currently labeled indie music, alternative rock, and old school everything. Right now OK Go, The Chemical Brothers, Garden State, Geekgirl's Mix cd, and Brazilian Girls, are being played heavily on my iPod. I'm open to new music so if you have some recommendations let me know.

Movies:

The Color Purple, The Five Heartbeats, Boondock Saints, Pulp Fiction, The Princess Bride, The Nightmare Before Christmas, Coming to America, Night of the Living Dead, I'm Gonna Get You Sucka, Lost In Translation, Ninja Scroll, and on and on. The list is ridiculously long.

Television:

Previously I wrote: I am trying to break myself of my sad addiction to tv. I think I've done it. I have watched an episode of Heroes and being the comic book fan that I am I may fall of the wagon for this show. We'll see.

Books:

Ok, I've been avoiding this section because I haven't read a book in far too long. I used to read on my commute to and from work but lately 45 minutes of sleep has meant more to me than feeding my brain. The book I'm reading right now is nothing. I really need to work on this. What should it read? Past loves include: The Color Purple, Memoirs of a Geisha, The Secret Garden, Their Eyes Were Watching God, and The Joy Luck Club. Stories of women with tragic lives who manage to find peace always equals a good read. Why do my books get turned into movies?

Heroes:

Anyone who has even a fraction of their life figured out. This still stands true.
