my blogs are about many things. life. happiness. sadness. poetry. politics. i don't censor them, but i have mediated a couple times, haha!

i have no country to fight for. my country is the earth. i am a citizen of the world. ~eugene v. debs9/11 Citizen's Courtpro-humanitarian (you're human. i'm human. so are they), pro-education (without teaching people to think, democracy dies/fails), pro-choice (not proabortion), pro-liberty (rights), pro-democracy (love america in all of its possibility), pro-environment (like gore said, no planet, no anything. shouldn't we all be? even if you're not a tree-hugging animal lover like me) and a hell of a lot of other things which are more fun to talk about but matter to people less. i DO like to talk a bunch about fun stuff. do it all the time. ;}

I love college for the learning... will complete 6 yrs in about 2 yrs. I love a handful of people VERY, VERY much and consider my closest friends family (whom I also love).

I'd like to meet:

tolerant, yet opinionated people who like talking. if you don't like to chat, you won't be added unless i like your music or you have a candle as a default pic |==+ (and you are a musician, ahem).

Music:

img src="http://dl3.glitter-graphics.net/pub/35/35522f017kau0dp. jpg" i love all types of music (except country), but am choosy on particulars. i enjoy a good beat, a good message/subject and a great melodic feel.

Movies:

life is beautiful, frida, kill bill 2, the village, closer, playing by heart, saw I & II, 28 days later, AI, original Dr. Doolittle w/ Rex Harrison, spirited away, gia, ghost in the shell, cold mountain, the cat's meow, out of africa, memoirs of a geisha, the cave, high fidelity, the chumscrubber, imaginary heroes, the notebook, Rocky Horror Picture Show, The Crow, What Dreams May Come, the princess bride, The Matrix, The Animatrix, the cell, the green mile (book too), "0", the shawshank redemption, glory, Lord of the Rings, StarWars original 3 and Sith, Batman (orig and new), American Beauty, Clerks, Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back, Moonstruck (can't justify it), The Professional, Silence of the Lambs, Pink Floyd The Wall, the others... ya, I like movies.

Television:

.. Lite Brite

Books:

the time traveler's wife, dune, the razor's edge (somerset maugham), bob dylan's lyrics, anything poppy z brite, dark tower series, biography of gauguin, the art of happiness, the hobbit, watership down, anything richard bach, dreams underfoot, memnoch the devil, the prince of tides, charlie chaplin's autobiography (because it's untrue and that's fascinating). currently reading guns germs and steel. great so far... how-to's are helpful, too.Thinking of reading some of the following. Input welcome! Richard Brautigan, Margaret Atwood, A.S. Byatt, Albert Camus, Oscar Wilde, Richard Adams, Anne Sexton, etc. Favorite Books: Watermelon Sugar, Jane Eyre, The Stranger, The Djinn in the Nightingale's Eye, Salome, Anna Karenina, Cat's Eye(Atwood)

Heroes:

Mahatma Gandhi asked: "What difference does it make to the dead, the orphans and the homeless, whether the mad destruction is wrought under the name of totalitarianism or the holy name of liberty or democracy?"http://www.cit.gu.edu.au/~anthony/icons/desc/cl-b gnd/light/dew_web.jpg everyone does something extraordinarily well AND extraordinarily badly. i am in awe of many people, regardless of whether i like them or not.
