About Me

Hi All,
If you ever wanted to come to a gig of mine, but weren't able to make it, Nov 13 is a time. In honor of my mother and in support of my brother's marathon fundraiser, I will be donating all my proceeds from my November 13th Cat Club gig to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Team in Training-100% of which will go to Leukemia and Lymphoma research. I need AT LEAST FIFTEEN PEOPLE in the door in order to make money on the night, so PLEASE invite all your friends and loved ones. Check out my page (www.myspace.com/heartbreakblvd) for gig details, but in the meantime, check out what my brother has to say about his efforts:
Dear family and friends,
I’d like to share with you a personal challenge that I’ve just begun. I am training to run my second marathon. On January 7 I will run the Disney World Marathon. I will be running with and for the New York City chapter of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
As some of you know, I completed my first marathon in June, and raised $4900 for cancer research. This time I hope to raise at least $3600. I was very happy with my marathon time in Alaska, 3:52. Many people consider a sub-4 marathon to be extremely fast. However, I hope to improve greatly upon this time and run this marathon in 3:30. It will take a strong personal commitment on my part, and will include lots of sweat and blood. However, it is a small sacrifice to make compared to what cancer patients go through on a daily basis.
I would love your support in the fight against cancer and ask you to donate whatever you can. While the small sacrifices you and I can make to search for a cure cannot begin to approximate those made by cancer patients, these efforts mean the world to them. In alaska at mile 24, when I felt like I didn't have an ounce of energy left in my body I passed a middle-aged woman with a sign "My daughter is a survivor. Thank you." It was all I needed to finish the race.
Thank you for your support. I’ll keep you posted on my success!
Much love, Nate Saperia
(That's Nate on the left)
My brother's running 26.2 miles. All I'm asking is for $8 and forty-five minutes of your time.
See you on the 13th.
xo,
Emily Elizabeth
