I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

Just ask me. I don't bite.

Get this MySpace Layout from pYzam.com , it's where I got mine from!

My Interests

I am passionate about drinking beer while engaging in meaningful and wacky conversations with friends (the only social event that I can tolerate),working-out (just to ward-off the onslaught of a beer belly),reading (a necessity),watching movies (the resort of a frustrated film maker) and writing stuff (to immortalize my thoughts and sentiments). All of which I get to do when I'm not busy on my case load.Well, ok, also when I'm busy.

I'd like to meet:

old and new friends, people who rock and potential clients (not necessarily in that order)

Music:

reggae (Brownman Revival,Reggae Mistress,Bob Marley,Peter Tosh, the Meditations,Black Uhuru and my latest find...ISOULJAHS), punk (Sex Pistols and Ramones), grunge (Pearl Jam and Soundgarden), ska (The Mighty Mighty Bosstones and Reel Big Fish) and for some strange reason, the music of Marvin Gaye and Barry White.

Movies:

There are just too many movies that I love. To summarize, I'll watch movies by the following: Akira Kurosawa, Roberto Fellini, Ernesto Cuaron, Francis Ford Coppola, Martin Scorsese, Roman Polanski, Woody Allen, Quentin Tarantino, Cameron Crowe and Kevin Smith a. k. a. Silent Bob.Lately, I'm into Korean and Japanese movies like My Sassy Girl, My Little Bride, JSA, Friend, Crazy First Love, Zatoichi and Battle Royale.Oh, and any movie that has Adam Sandler or Mike Myers in it.

Television:

Not a great fan of T. V. lately, unless it's a series on HBO...or South Park...or Sponge Bob...or the Simpsons.

Books:

This space is not enough to state all the books that I like. I practically read everything - from epics to compilation of short stories; from fiction to non-fiction; from the serious to the silly. Books to me are the best bedtime companions, until proven otherwise. Seriously. =)

Heroes:

Wax Poetic, Wax Nostalgic

Poetic license is a poet's pathetic excuse to mangle the otherwise strict rules of the English grammar. That's probably the reason why I have always wanted to be a poet. To take into fruiton such a g...

A Joke of a Lawyer

Try to confine more than 80 lawyers in a room and you'll never run out of funny anecdotes; you'd even think that the "How many lawyers will it take" jokes are really true. In a seminarfor lawyers&nbs...

Another Typical American Family

The Saturday had made me quite intimate with the TV series Arrested Development. I was so hooked that I couldn't force myself to get out of the house despite my firm resolve to treat weekends as fitne...

Of The Jerks and Julia Clarete

Imagine your drunken father or uncle who, while experiencing mid-life crisis, decided to form a rock band, and you will get a clear picture of The Jerks-a band that has been in the live music scene fo...

I'd Die Quitting

I woke up this morning with a terrible headache. It was as if I had a nasty hangover. If it was indeed a hangover, I'd know what to do. No, I have no secret potion like those you often see in movies. ...

The Gospel According to Biff

Blasphemy and sacrilege are two of the most overused words inside the minor seminary (those, along with fornication, harlot and some other 'juicy' words used in the book of Deuteronomy). However, for ...

Beer and Solitude

Nothing can deter me from drinking a cold bottle of beer on a weekend - not when it is raining hard and I am all alone. Last Friday night, after finally accepting the fact that my beer buddies were al...
