Something deep...

About Me

House is a feeling, but to Eric B Young it might even be more for he has dedicated the last 10 years to absorbing everything that’s got to do with music and house music in particular. Starting out as a passionate bedroom dj after saying goodbye to his cherished drum kit, Eric soon embarked upon a magical journey through the world of music, enjoying the company of kindred spirits and exploring the Dutch nightlife. While working at Mid-Town Records Amsterdam, Eric broadened his view on dance music and obtained his first official club gigs at venues as De Lichtfabriek, The Zebra, Hotel Arena, De Rechter, Fast Forward Dance Parade and many more. Soon Eric was invited to come and spin in Romania and his one off performance in Bucharest resulted in a monthly residency, playing at major events and in luxurious nightclubs.Around the same time, Eric was approached by Victor Bakhuis to be involved in founding the new DJBroadcast Magazine, specializing in dance music and everything in its perimeter. Eric got caught up in the inspiring process of establishing the successful company DJBroadcast turned out to be, sidetracking his dj career as he went along. Despite some cool gigs, for instance in Sao Paulo Brazil, the dj thing slowly perished in the background of all the other activities.Eric’s productions kept on coming nonetheless, which resulted in a record deal with Paul Hazendonk’s quality label Manual Music. Save As Document 1, Eric’s debut release hit the shops in November 2007 with remixes by Patrice Bäumel & Nuno dos Santos and Le Clic. Now that his studio is almost finished, more 12 inches will definitely appear soon. Last but not least, Eric has been added to the Manual Bookings roster, teaming up with some supreme talent nourished by the prolific Dutch dance scene. Back in business you might say. To be continued…
