Formed in early 2005, The Bright Red has risen from the ashes of some of Central Alberta's most prominent bands. With just over a year of existence under their belts, they have defined and re-defined themselves again and again, constantly breaking the constricts of a single genre. One minute they'll be straight up rock and roll, the next minute harmonized metal guitar riffs will pierce your ears. From melodies that could make you cry to riffage that will make you scream, TBR is defiantly one of the most exciting and promising bands to come out of the Central Alberta scene in a long time.
The only thing more impressive than their music is the success of their live performances. In just over a year together, The Bright Red has already found themselves playing with: Every Time I Die, Death by Stereo, The Black Maria, Cancerbats, Attack In Black, Sick City, The Fullblast, Savannah, The Reason, Kincaide, Lights Below and more. TBR also played the Ernie Ball Stage at WARPED TOUR 2006 and has been released on an international hardcore compilation showcasing the best in Canadian Hardcore "Black Eyes and Broken Bones" on UnderPressure Magazine/Records based in Montreal. Tours of the majority of Canada are in the planning stage and should include a town close to you.
