RIP Dan, you'll be missed...

About Me

Jim Millbower’s “JAM Pack” is a musical network of seasoned professionals who proudly contribute their superb musicianship in both studio and live settings to bring Jim's musical compositions to life. United in their commitment to quality and motivated by innovative songwriting, these stellar individuals proudly fuse different musical styles into a unique olio of toe tapping progressive pop. JAM’s “Pack” of friends JAM-pack their performance with energy and accessibility that delights and invigorates spectators resulting in an audience that is in turn, JAM-packed!Jim first faced the footlights at the age of five as a member of Rhythm-Lite Productions. He spent the next thirteen years touring major cities on the East Coast, as well as performing regionally. This exposure to musical entertainment resulted in an early interest in songwriting as he was able to write and perform original songs on a frequent basis.Jim’s professional songwriting career began in earnest when he relocated to Boston to major in composition at the Berklee College of Music. It was during this time that he began to amass his network of associates that he utilizes to this day. Jim went on to work with such seasoned professionals as Sue Richards (Tammy Wynette’s former backup singer) who subsequently recorded a beautiful rendition of his country song, “My Love’s Gone”. Returning to New York, Jim composed “My Life Is Like My Room (and it’s a mess)”, exclusively for the regional performance group RLT Productions. When a member of Jim’s community developed heart problems & went on a waiting list for a donor heart, Jim responded by becoming actively involved; composing, arranging & producing the song, “People Helping People”. An upbeat song that delivers a powerful message, “People Helping People” went on to win a national award in the pop category of the Hollywood Song Jubilee. The song even found its way to Mickey Mantle, who’s Lawyer and friend, Roy True, contacted Jim for a copy of the song shortly before Mickey’s untimely death. Jim has received numerous national awards for songwriting and is a proud writer member of ASCAP. His collaboration with Offbeat Training produced the successful CD "Game Show Themes for Trainers" containing original music written for trainers & inspired by favorite game shows, ideal for reviews, timed events, group interaction & TV themed activities. A companion to the Stylus Publishing book Training with a Beat it is available on the Offbeat Training Tunes Label (www.offbeattraining.com).Now Jim once again has demonstrated his pride and passion for his community by Composing, Producing and Publishing the song “Utica”, which received a SAMMY (Syracuse Area Music Award) Nomination from LeMoyne College’s Music Department, under the direction of concert pianist/composer/educator Andrew Russo for the best Pop Recording of 2005.
