About Me

Kevin McElroy; in a vain attempt to avoid doing serious jail time for llama smuggling, decided to try his hand in stage and commercial acting, comedy (with a short lived improv troupe), and embracing his love of music by writing and performing with various bands. The most successful of these was Violet Ray, cofounded with friends Neal Katz, Heath Russell, and Todd Luschen. After some initial local success, the realities of life and the music business burst the bubble.Short of cash, Kevin resorted to running a chain of popular meth labs - "Tweeks R Us" to make ends meet. The business grew exponentially, which eventually led to a highly publicized sale to Kraft Foods who now market the highly addictive substance under the brand name "Velveeta!"Kevin relocated to North Carolina in 1999, married in 2001 and started a family. His children thankfully bear a strong resemblance to their mother and have as strong a passion for playing music.A chance meeting with guitarist Tyler Elam in 2005 led to the formation of Bulletproof Johnson. Joined by Richard Bricolo on drums, They are performing now as a power trio. The next year may prove to be a busy one as Bulletproof Johnson begins recording it's debut album, followed immediately by Kevin and The Violet Ray stepping right back into the studio to complete their unfinished project after a decade long hiatus... real editor best profile tools real editor best profile tools
