Band Members: Singer/guitarist Mike Greenberg, bassist/singer Rich Russman, and drummer/singer George Belton collided in 2005 to form The Jones. The power trio continues to attract audiences of devoted fans throughout DC, NY, and Philly who cannot get enough of the band’s unique hybrid sound of Blues and Rock and Roll, music not heard since the late sixties/early seventies. The band’s widespread appeal, usually reserved for pop rock of recent years, can be credited to their musical skill and contagious enthusiasm. It cannot be denied that this brand of music is reminiscent of the past with influences that include The Rolling Stones, Jimi Hendrix, and Guns n’ Roses, yet reveals a relevance to the present with further sound resonances of recent bands such as The Black Crowes, The Black Keys, and Nirvana. Mike's lyrics boast an anxiety and downright anger that comes through in his unique vocal style. Rich and George provide the perfect backing, bringing a steady order to balance the passion of Mike’s vocals. The Jones are a musical force to be experienced and explored. www.thejonesmusic.com - www.myspace.com/thejonesmusic

Sounds Like:Recent Press From "On Tap Magaziine"Somewhere between Lynyrd Skynyrd, Stone Temple Pilots, Wolfmother and the fictitious band Stillwater lies DC’s The Jones. But The Jones aren’t made up, they are an in-your-face, bad-ass trio, destined to save rock ‘n’ roll. Their steady, blues rock balances nicely between rollicking and enchanting. Highlights include “You Don’t Have the Stones,†“Jukebox Junkie,†and “Sunday Dress.†A must-buy. — Robert Fulton -
