About Me

Welcome to the contents of my brain. If what you find here seems personal or offensive, feel free to piss right off and take a walk, it's my life. If what you might find here really sucks; again, welcome to my life. This is what I like, what I find interesting and just a taste of who I really am. Right now I work out of Mesa/Tempe Arizona and I make/play/test/write/code video games all day every day with little time off to live. But it's the best job in the world and everyday's worst challenge is still better than your best day, cause it's all fun and games at the end of the day. :) I used to live in Tucson where I grew up and went to school before being wisked away on an airship of drunken blimpsmen. We traveled across this great and fat country of ours pulling ropes and occasionally flying a few thousand feet in the air. We worked in the rain, the snow, with tornadoes, twisters and dust-devils. We fought against every current of wind this country had to offer and despite the midnight hours, the week-long overnight shifts, the strict adherance to the sports-league schedules and still finding time to perform maintenance on our days off; it was still one hell of a ride! Before that was the Army. Basic at Ft. Lost in the Woods, Misery, AIT at Ft. Smacksomeone, South Cacalakey. If you're in the service or were, you might now where I'm talking about. I was a combat wrench (63-S-20, H-8) though I never was deployed; luckily, I was in and out of the service between both Gulf Wars. My heart and thoughts go out to everyone that wasn't quite as fortunate to make it out alive as I was. Fight hard, we're woking to bring you all home. Before that, and really at the center of it all, I guess I'm just a big nerd, a dork and a joker. I like having fun and I don't take much of anything that seriously. I've seen more in my life than many people will see in 2 lifetimes, but I haven't seen everything... yet. Oh, and... 95% ALCOHOLIC San Diego Dating

My Interests

I like Hellboy and the BPRD. Great reading. Oh, and the man, the myth, the legend himself...

I also enjoy games, mostly Shooters and good RPGs. I HATE MMO's (!!!) and I'm not a huge fan of internet or multiplayer. Give me a perfect AI any day of the week until I can whoop it's lilly ass. I like Pirates and Dogs... but more than anything, I like Pirate Dogs. ..
Laser Flashlight Hack! - video powered by Metacafe

And of course... the incredible Jet Man!!!

I'd like to meet:

I'd like to meet anyone who has a personality; you remember that right? That little human quirk that gives someone their uniqueness, something that wasn't store-bought or premanufactured for your demeanor. Remember when personality counted for something? When the Robots in your Dreams made you cool, rather than a dork.

Personality counts in Spades and if you got it, you're cool in my book.

If your personality is plastic-coated or had a shelf-life, piss off and save yourself the time. If your personality is borrowed from your television or your radio, please exit stage left.

"Is there anyone out there who can still think critically?"
- Joey Vindictive

I've never really looked up to celebrities. They've always been normal people to me, the few that I've met have been a little put off by the fact that I'm not intimidated. I think many more have been a little set off by the fact that I talk to them like regular people, not like some talking magazine article. Now, I certainly haven't met everyone and I'm never on the lookout for celebrities, but I do enjoy seeing someone that I've only ever seen on TV or heard on cd's. Most of the celebrities that I have met have all been rockstars. Usually I'm the guy drinking a beer and hanging out at the show (remember?) :) I've bought more than one rockstar a beer after a show and been proud to bypass the autograph or the photo for a firm handshake and a sincere smile.
If you rock, I want to meet you! If you're rad, I want to meet you! If you're the Bee's Knees, I want to meet you! If you're down with Lobster Johnson, I want to meet you!

Music:

Rock and Roll! AC/DC (BonFire!), Jet, The Kinks, The Ramones, Hot Water Music, Rumbleseat, The Queers, Screeching Weasel, The Riverdales, Avail, The Vindictives, The Bouncing Souls, The Lillingtons, The Lawrence Arms, Alkaline Trio, The Parasites, The Dead Milkmen, Teen Idols, Greenday, Joe Strummer, Bob Marley, The Man in Black, Less than Jake, NOFX, and of course all of my friend's bands: Malificorum, M.I.S.L.E.D., Mission Statement, TA80, and Sera Bellum!

I listen to Alice Cooper at nighttime when I'm done with work and school and I trust what he's gonna play for me. I've either never heard it and it's sweet for that reason, or it's probably going to rock! The man has quite a diverse range and I think he's an interesting man. Alice, Rock On!

Movies:

The List could go on and on. I worked in video stores for way too many years. :) Good times really! But why waste your time with the movies that everyone knows are good, like Star Wars and Braveheart. Everybody knows that the Godfather should be on every man on MySpace's page, same goes for Scarface. Do I need to tell you that Raging Bull and Goodfellas can make you worship Martin Scorsese? Do I need to point out that renting Spank my Maid 4 and Sleeping Booty along with several Shirley Temple movies is just a little creepy?
My passion for movies is all Kung-Fu. I love action, sci-fi, horror, comedy, drama, documentary and even some foreign flicks. There is also the occasional anime, but if I have to watch something animated, give me Spike and Mike anyday. Or old Beavis and Butthead (With the Videos!).
I love it when a good movie can bring back a cool fashion trend, like Boondock Saints and P-Coats, or Star Wars and just being a dork, or a dressed-up dork.

Television:

There is nothing cooler than Man-o-vations followed by a horrid round of mocking the audience, followed by girls jumping on trampolines!
Every episode was poignant, thoughtful and action-oriented. Even the worst episode was better than most reality shows and it ranks right up there with Band of Brothers as far as drama and comroderie.

Books:

I liked King Dork, Fight Club, Lullaby, If Chins Could Kill, Punk is a Four Letter Word, From Hell, Watchmen, and Sin City. Hellboy and BPRD are on my bookshelf, including Bones of Giants.

Heroes:

I try to be my own hero everyday. I try to be someone that I can be proud of at the end of the day. I try to be just and to be prepared. I try to help where I can. I don't have superpowers and I don't have supergadgets. I don't even have that much money. Just for the record, I also don't have a superoutfit, though my glasses could probably stop a bullet... I'm like Clark Kent in Superman 2 without his superpowers. I'll probably get my ass kicked.

My Blog

Oh what a night!

Unlike my last few blogs, this one actually has little point or even controversy attached to it... ok, my other blogs didn't either, but jog on, it's my space (pardon the pun). So, where was I? Oh yea...

If, as of late, I have seemed greedy; I apologize. All that I have is being given away. Some to collectors and the rest is to friends, for some a true payday. My pay's still a week away... To be true...

Little Lessons

If I've been arrogant, I applogize. If I've been mean, I am sorry. If I've been cocky, I didn't mean it. When I thought I was right, turns out I was wrong. Things are much worse than before. Things ...
