I love doing more with less and have a passion for self-reliance across the board. I live off the grid in a passive solar earth home of my own design. It heats and cools itself, catches rain, and ventilates itself with no need for any type of outside power source. It does so because I incorporated common sense building techniques - compatible with my environment - such as right orientation, thermal mass, and insulation.I'm the founder, director, and lead instructor for the Aboriginal Living Skills School in Arizona and the author of two books. My first book, 98.6 Degrees: The Art of Keeping Your Ass Alive, covers the essentials of how to avoid a wilderness survival scenario and what I pack in a survival kit for desert and mountain regions. My second book, When All Hell Breaks Loose: Stuff You Need To Survive When Disaster Strikes, covers urban preparedness info for short and long term survival. I'm currently working on a third book.
