I wouldn't say that I'm a collector (cause they're wee guys in tank tops and anoraks that carry jotters in their backpacks) but I like to pick up stuff that is witchy spooky vampirey, paranormally (I've made up a few new words there!) whether its books,
ornaments, posters etc.
You Belong in 1982
Wild, over the top, and just a little bit cheesy. You're colorful at night - and successful during the day.
What Year Do You Belong In?
I'd like to meet:
They just don't make comedy like this anymore:
....Awrite then, mibbies they do........
Music:
Oh Lordy, one look at my music collection and you'll realise how diverse and varied my musical tastes are! Love my showtunes ( I want to see Wicked and POTO), love my opera/classical, love the Oldies, my Sinatra CD is always in my car. The only thing that doesn't really kinda float my boat is rap and techno and all their weird named various disguises. Loving my glam rock and 80's powerpop at the moment, Van Halens 'Jump' and Kenny Loggins 'Highway to the Dangerzone' is currently in my CD player.
Movies:
Lemme see, loving The Phantom of the Opera, The Lost Boys (any vampire flick actually) Gone With The Wind, The Untouchables, The Usual Suspects, Labyrinth, The Superman Films (Reeves, none of this new crap!), The Star Wars Films, The Best Little Whorehouse In Texas, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, Steel Magnolias, Dear Frankie, Monty Pythons Films, Peter Pan (2003 movie, not cartoon, thats a tad guff), Braveheart, Santa Claus:The Movie, Annie, The Last Samurai, The Last Of The Mohicans, Muriels Wedding, Hot Fuzz, Zoolander, Reign of Fire and hunners more!!
Television:
National Geographic Channel is the biz. I'm a saddo geek that loves to watch all the factual pish that the geographic/discovery/horizons/A1/Biography channels can throw at me. Like to watch a good real crime whodunnit (Diagnosis Unknown, Forensic Detectives etc) when in alone then sit and shit myself at every bump I hear for the next few hours. The only 'council telly' stuff that I really pay attention to is the soaps, Deal or No Deal (feckin' ace stuff)Friends re-runs, House, The Simpsons. Used to love the whole Most Haunted scene, but I now realise that its Carl thats doing all the spooky shit that ever happens, oh aye, crazy ghost-wannabe bastard! I must add thought that River City does indeed rock my world. Okay, none of them can act their way out of paper bags (Wee Bob being the exception) but its that way its so kakka its addictive! And Big Brothers back. Ya Dancer.....
Books:
I love all the Terry Pratchett stuff, although my absolute favourite of his has to be Good Omens. Margaret Mitchells Gone With The Wind, James Herbert books. I love gothic horror short stories like The Black Cat, The Horla, The Monkey's Paw etc etc.
Heroes:
I don't consider other people to be heroes, I'm more appreciative of the things that they do!!! AYE RIGHT. First and foremost, I'd die if I met Dick Van Dyke (me-old-bamboo-tastic), Elvis Presley, Billy Connelly (even if he does support a crap team!) Clark Gable, Dudley Moore, Michael Palin (all of Monty Python infact), William Shatner, Bette Midler, Beethoven, Terry Pratchett, Tim Burton, and erm, my family are all my hereos cause they've saved me a few times!
