George Alevizos

i was born in Athens in 1974.At the age of 16 years old i started playing bass guitar.After that i continued playing more instruments like,elektroacoustic guitar,tzura(mini buzuki)baglama,percussions(Arabic tabla,bedir).The last years i play UD which is my main professional activity(giving concerts,studio recording,etc).I also study byzantine music.I play oud in two new discografic works of Sotiris Doganis (IDOY O NYMFIOS AND I ZOI EN TAFO),makams,taksimia and songs in Byzantine mode.Special thanks to my teacher in byzantine music Sotiris Doganis,Apostolis agousis,Nikolaos proios and the choirmaster Dionisios iliopoylos, my teacher in ud Christos Tsiamoulis,Niko Saragouda(for the first steps)Gina Kalli(percussion player)for the way to.... music,My best friend Stelio Hatzigeorgiou(buzuki player)for all of this nights in the Rebetiko mode,lito floraki(violi player)for all this travel in the taksims and recordings,Gianni Drimala(kanun player)for the recordings and the friendship,Vanna Kalli(classic guitar player) for the classic lessons,Fanny Iliopoulou(for the humor)Gogo filandra(for the fotos in vilia place)Stavro Ntala(great musician)and my kid..s Kiriako and Dimitra for the dream......
