Its been awhile since weve released anything. But that doesnt mean were not workin. When my computer crashed it set us back a lot. But to keep people from gettin discouraged, im goin to let u hear some samples of the songs were working on. None have been recorded on yet cuz im still lookin for a good program...... Keep in mind that one of these songs are really complete. were still tweakin so bear with us here.
So ill jump right into it, this 1st song is called Long Live the King. I didnt really intend for it to be a song, but I let my partners hear it and everyone loved it. So I hope you will too.
This 2nd song...I dont really have a name for. I just call it "tha Hit" i liek the sound and the feel of it, and I like how its commin out. This is one of my favorites.
This 3rd song was actually inspired by an anime , believe it or not. But it turned out to be more than that when my friend wrote asong to it, Its called " By any means necessary" enjoy
The 4th song ur about to listen to is called "contender" It makes me think of a boxing match . Its another one of my favs. enjoy
This last song sounds to me like something you ride to, My partner put a lot into this song, So i hope you like it as well. Its called " Back alley of the hood"
Ok well that wraps it up. Thats not all we have but its a good little sample. We have 2 albums were tyin to do by next yr so look forward to that. __________________2kv is really just a group of people i used to hang out with in Memphis. We all got separated at one time and since those days I've kept the 2kv name. In December 2005 I lost My collab partners and things got really hectic. So I didn't get to do as much as I would have liked. But now 2 years later were back. Finally startin to get shit in order. Getting members, and some down ass people. Let us know how were doing and if you like our music.
I see all these other artists saying things like, im just trying to bring something to the game, im just trying to keep it real, and it all sounds like the same old shit to me. These things should be known by anyone who loves music and not repeated. So thats not what im going to tell you, all were doing is what we love, music. Were not tryin to be the best in the game, we dont act "hard", were not "gangsta". We're just showing you our view and our perspective. This is just the way we do music . Either you'll like it or you wont. Were fine with that either way. Originality is what counts.
I dont have a studio, I dont have million dollar equipment, and not all my songs are good. Some people say rap is dead, I say you just need a new perspective on it. Rap as a whole, like all music, grows and changes with time. So heres to growing, and keeping it original. Hope you enjoy our Music. Feel free to leave feedback on the comments page. Update June 27th 2007 - Ill be uploading more songs on here now as we make them. So feel free to leave feedback and show some love.
Update Sept 21, 2007 - My computer crashed a few days ago and I lost all of our music. I had no backup. All of my beats and the songs we were working on are gone, so it may take awhile to get back up . So just be patient and hope for the best. Im doing eveything I can to get back where I started and so far its looking good. Hopefully we'll have a new song out soon so keep a look out.
