REVERSE THE CURSE
Mission Statement
This MySpace page will be utilized for the Glorification of God and the
Edification of the Body of Christ.
Reverse The Curse's paramount concern is bring Men to a correct view of
themselves and their Manhood through the areas of Prayer, Fellowship, Study of
God's Word, and maintaining an ever deepening relationship with Jesus
Christ.
Bro. Shelby Stokes will remain open to the call of the Holy Spirit, to bring to
all of those that give their attention, and speak (in person or via the
internet) to all what is necessary to build an everlasting Christian community
that brings Glory to the Father as well as witnesses to the world the power of
God when his people, who are called by his name, step into his Righteousness,
and begin to live according to his precepts and commandments.
The Organization
Reverse The Curse Inc is a grass-roots, Christian organization that intends to
be at the fore-front of community issues, to ensure that the Men of the
community maintain proper placement and recognition while at the same time
continuing to progress to higher ways of living, thinking, action, and treatment
of our women through correct knowledge, study, and understanding of God's
Word.
Since 2004, Brova Shelby (as he likes to referred to) has re-energized his walk
with Christ and opened himself up to the move of the Holy Spirit. It is his
deliberate life adjustment that is allowing Reverse The Curse to become clear.
Proverbs 29; 18 states,
"Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he
that keepeth the law, happy is he."
Reverse The Curse is not stating that Bro. Shelby Stokes is the only one that
has been given vision by the Father, this Proverb is the basis of Reverse The
Curse Inc and as Brova Shelby continued to pray for clarity and a deeper
understanding of the Proverb, the Holy Spirit directed him to Habakkuk 2; 2 and
3.
"And the Lord answered me, and said, write the vision and make it plain
upon tables, that he may run that readeth it. For the vision is yet for an
appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry,
wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry."
The vision encompasses the gathering together of the Men of this city, Los
Angeles, and alerting them to their rightful position they are to be present,
standing inside of and receiving instruction from God through His Word, prayer
and fellowshipping. It can be made clearer to these Men with acceptance of the
Word and the correct knowledge of who we are as God's Children.
Genesis 1;
26 and 27 states,
"And God said, Let us make man in our own image, after our
likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl
of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping
thing that creepeth upon the earth. So God created man in his own image, in the
image of God created he him; male and female created he them."
Connection to the Spirit will lead to connection to the Word. Which will lead to
the awareness of the Word's Truth and it's real application within the earthly
life of Man. The premier thought that has to be affirmed, daily, is that God is
in control of all that we are and he allows for us to search out His Will for
us, to make our Will.We, as Men, must keep this remembrance in order to properly
begin to understand how to take hold of the gifts that have always been ours
since the day God created us.
The Mandate
This Spiritual Awakening, for the Men of Los Angeles, has been recorded in 1
Corinthians 15; 45-51. These are the marching orders, the starting point.
"And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam
was made a quickening spirit. Howbeit that was not first which is spiritual, but
that which is natural; and afterward that which is spiritual. The first man is
of the earth, earthy: the second man is the Lord from heaven. As is the earthy,
such are they also that are earthy: and as is the heavenly, such are they also
that are heavenly. And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also
bear the image of the heavenly. Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood
cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.
Behold, I show you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be
changed,"
When these words are infused into the everyday effort, we, as Men, will begin to
set right all the things that this world so furiously influences us to thrown
away.
Announcements
In the coming weeks several meetings will be announced. These meetings will be
designed to begin the movement of Men toward the direction God desires us to
