Long before it was politically correct to be “greenâ€, Cali native, K-Natural, born Dennis Taylor was weaned on principals of compassion, commitment and dedication to self, and community, at the hand of his grandmother; an active political leader in their South Central, Los Angeles neighborhood. As part of a well respected and well known family, which includes his sister, actress Shar Jackson, it was inevitable that the entertainer’s rock star persona would lead him to the forefront as well.Although the West Coast hip-hop scene tends to get stereotyped for its Chuck Taylor’s, Khaki’s and Low-low’s, K-Natural is far from gangsta rap, but he does rep Cali-living to the fullest. The easy going lyricist is more of a modern day intelligent hoodlum, aka a computer geek. The tech savvy emcee loves programming and appreciates the lighter side of West Coast ridin at the skate park and hanging out at the beach. Feel good, fun is what people enjoy about the sunny side and K-Natural is no different. As he developed his roots in hip-hop, much like Sampson, he first found the magic was his hair as a member of the ??? group, the Nappy Headed Thieves. Much like the texture of his hair, his skills were a natural flow, giving birth to his moniker K-Natural. It is those same natural abilities that allow him to freely maneuver between rhyme and music styles without seeming contrived. After leaving the group, he found himself in Atlanta where he found that his South Central swag and his Durty South bounce felt good together. With the support of his southern homeboy, Young Joc, K-Natural got into his natural groove musically and began putting together material for his solo album. The loss of his grand mother brought him back from Atlanta and now that he was home he wanted to find the type of local artist support he had come to know in the South so his due diligence on the first platinum selling indie artist on the west coast led him to John Ferguson who was responsible forReady to release his debut solo project titled “NO Preservatives Added†on Fase 1 Entertainment/Fontanna the South Central Native keeps it durrty with the first single “U GOT ME IN THE CLUBâ€
