** The name's Melanie [and that is what I like to be called, not big on nicknames, not even Mel!].
** I am 20.
** I work && am taking a semester off from college. I graduated from highschool in 2004. I graduated with an Associates Degree in Arts, in 2006. I will be going back to school in the fall of 2007 to get either my Bachelors or Masters of Arts in Deaf Studies. I'm excited to get out of here.
** I currently have 9 piercings [00g lobes, left ear :: industrial and tragus, right ear :: vertical tragus, tongue, middle of lip + horizontal lip, && septum]. You'll quickly catch on that I adore body modifications [more piercings && some tattoos will be coming soon].
** I lovelovelovelove animals [I have 2 cats **clive + amelia** && 1 dog **baby**, I would have more if I could].
Alot of times when people first meet me they say that I am "intimidating". I couldn't hurt a fly, even if I tried. I wouldn't try though, so it doesn't matter. But yeah, if people can get past the first impressions, they'll come to find out that I just love to have a good time, laugh, and enjoy myself. I'll be your best friend if you'll let me.
I know sign language. I plan on majoring in something regarding sign language. I decided that if I am not helping people for the rest of my life, I wont be happy. Though I am still quite unsure of what I want to do.
I swear alot [especially the f word]. I sleep alot. I work alot. I smoke the green. I drink sometimes, but barely ever. I'm loud sometimes. I'm un-f'ing-necessary sometimes.
I am; outgoing. melodramatic. adventerous. loving. caring. dependable. mature. serious. confused. alternative. openminded. apathetic. lonely. friendly. funny. random. a caretaker. gentle. a pacifist.
Obsessions; body modifications [gauged ears, piercings, tattoos, scarification, etc -- in case you haven't caught on]. meeting new people. smoking ganja. animals. reading. driving around in car / driving with no destination
I don't like; discriminaton. drama. stupidity. bad spelling. backstabbers. liars. cheaters. arrogance. ignorance. racists. rumors. labels. physical violence. bitches. dirty mirrors. george w bush. war. birds (i fear them). people who toss around the words "love" and "hate".
Another thing, I understand that I have "a lot" of friends on here. Want to know why? Because surprisingly I know A LOT of people. I also have bands/authors/comedians added, because I will add them if I like their shit. I don't care about being "exclusive" [having just a list of close friends], but I hardly have any people on my list that don't live in NY, that's just how I do. I am not trying to be some stupid myspace whore && add everyone in the world. Though I am definitely up for making new friends && meeting new people. I always feel like I have to explain myself.
I am trying to figure out who I am && what I want. Just trying to make it through life && live it the best I can.
