Poposm Records is an Edinburgh Based Record label, and a self-financed project by Thomas Coles. (The UFO, Shoe, Fresh Fruit, Arm Industrial, Lunatek) Our sound is very varied, fusion, and experimental while still maintaining the old paradigms, but twisting them outside of the box. everything from hiphop, hardtek with MCs, breakcore with jazz and bass, to goa, to acid breaks, to chillout. Euphoric guitar driven drum'n'bass anyone? a true 21st century label, or atleast a seed for a label which with nurturing, will grow into something truely unique.
We allready plan to start a club night next month, which will obviously allow us to utilise our foriegn connections alot more. We also plan to do a rolling psy/goa party in south africa in the near future. Parties are planned for england, scotland and france. We love the underground!
We have been releasing records for the past year, of varing quality, and are also looking for a permament "quality control" guy/girl, who will have to have keen ears, to pick out mastering problems, and impecible taste in music.
What with our new studio, we are looking to recruit session artists for the newest project, Fresh Fruit. You will officially either feature, or join the band, if we decide that we like your style. And your shoes.
