Living six months in Leuven and six months in Hasselt I pick up as much music as possible. Ever since I love Jazzmusic. I believe that every kind of music that has to deal with a strong consistency between melody and rhythm starts with Jazz, and maybe also ends with it. Don't try to understand it while listening, play it.
At school I did some Architecture. My saxophone is, and will be, my beloved instrument. Due to the fact that it's too noisy to play in my room near all the other students I started playing the bass last year.
I do also like other genres. Bands like Karate and Sonic Youth are personal favourites. Musicians like John Zorn, Steve Coleman and, to go national: Mauro, I find great. They all have a progressive view on music today and are doing it their way without neglecting both individual character and commercial success.
Besides playing music myself I got myself a band together some two years ago called Roadburg. (myspace.com/roadburg) I do also hit keys and synths in outerspace band called The Galacticos. Last year with these two bands we conquered the first, second and the price of the audience in Limbomania. Both Roadburg and the Galacticos also played the Humo's Rock Rally final. I did a song with COEM and had some nice jamming with Sarah Gilis.
You can always contact me for hitting the keys, playing the saxophone or shooting some bass.
