About Me

Hello, I'm Dave. This is where I'm supposed to talk about myself and I hate doing that. Oh well, here it goes... I'm 27, a cancer survivor with only three quarters of a lung. I've died twice during surgeries and I don't like beans (not because they make you fart though). I spent six years getting a masters degree in mechanical engineering and I wrote a thesis with a long and confusing title. I had a dream job building solar panels for satellites (like on the space station or Hubble telescope) but I had to retire due to the cancer. I had the same cancer as Lance Armstrong, but I can't stand the guy. Lance Armstrong is quoted as saying "If there was a God, I'd have two nuts"...to that i say..."If there wasn't a God, I'd have two lungs." I believe there's a purpose for everything and each breath is a gift. It just took me losing most of my lungs to figure that one out. Feel free to ask me anything, my life is an open book. I'm looking forward to the sun rising tomorrow. Oh, and that old saying "it's better to have loved and lost than to have never loved at all" is so true.
