For this international production the band recorded at the Conceepa Studio of Pontirolo (Italy) under the direction of Sandro Nozza (already member of Reggae National Ticket) and Fabio Merigo (already member of Reggae National Tickets and now member of Bluebeaters). They also work on the mix. The final master has been done in Mexico City at the Manu Estudios by english producer Kevin Kearney, aka Professor of Dub, and engineer Rodolfo Vasquez. Harddiskaunt signed with Elmo Records the prestigious ska label from Munster, sister company of Grover. La buena y la mala onda contains twelve tracks and a dub remix made by Kearney. Ska, whetever it is original jamaican ska or two-tone ska or even ska-core, still remains the fundamental element of the Harddiskaunt mixture, but this time the mezcla of Harddiskaunt is enriched from many other tasty ingredients: South America rhythms first of all, but also swing, reggae, punk, dub, tarantella and even one bossanova with a violoncello&8217;s theme. The great variety of styles, even though under the common denominator of ska, makes La buena y la mala onda a enjoyable and never boring cd. Guest musicians played on the record: Peter Truffa (piano from the New York Ska Jazz Ensemble) Fabio Buonarrota (trumpet of the Vallanzaska) and Silvano De Tomaso (percussionist of Impacto Latino).
