About Me

I am sure that people do get a bit tired of reading everyone's little Myspace comments and such so I will try to keep it short and interesting. I love to be outside, to be on the river or on a nice bike trail. I really don't understand how most people can sit inside day after day. I think I would lose it. I find it hard sometimes to describe myself to people and this is surprisingly no exception. Not too many people know this but I am a huge proponent of wildlife preservation, of recycling and alternative energy. Don't get me started on people who drive Hummers and those other environmental assault vehicles. I love to work with my hands and to build furniture. It's very hard and often tedious work but to think that what I do today could feasibly last for hundreds of years and go through who knows how many hands is really quite amazing. On the complete opposite side of the spectrum I am also really into aviation and military history. A lot of my friends know that I would give my right arm, or right anything, to be a pilot. But life sometimes gets in the way. Overall I think that I am a decent person. Yes, I do admit that I am at times overly cynical and I am brutally honest (that's one thing that you can count on). But I am reliable and faithful and I hope that means something. Several friends have asked me about religious issues and I want to make it very clear that I am not an atheist, not even close. I personally feel that for me the best option is to be open to numerous ideas and theologies as very few good things come from being close minded. I place heavy emphasis on nature and what it can do to us. I believe that we seem to have lost respect for its power and its gifts. After all, without nature, we cannot exist. Have all the faith you want but without food or oxygen or even simple things like amino acids, you're not going to last too long. Oh yeah, I was going to keep this short.
