I guess I lost part of my heart back in the sixties, fifties and even further, so let's call it the old days. Problem was although a part of my heart left there, it took years before I actually entered this world, 1977 that is, yes the year the King died, but not for me though. So here I was and am, a modern man with a classic heart. Loving the old welcoming the new. I guess it also shows in the music, clothing, books, art and movies I love. I take and like it all as long as I like it :-). Different styles, different area's, I don't mind, it depends on my mood. But what goes in, must come out, so that's why I produce, write and compose music myself and together with my two compadres we create our own world as well with Tuxedo Bandito (www.tuxedobandito.com).
Luckily for me, history often repeats itself, so a lot of good stuff turn into classics. Classics have proven their value, so that's why there timeless and that's why I often like them and regard them as valuable. What some people might call 'oldfashioned', I like to call 'goldfashioned', with the gold symbolizing my positive thoughts and class of that certain object. But since technology brings the world and time in our hands, it brings us closer to history as well. Yes I love the opportunities and possibilities of this modern world, but I just can't let the old days be untold. No I'm not a desperate romantic, who lives in the past, I only sometimes think modern time goes a little too fast. But than again I also often think my computer and internet-connection are much too slow and shipping of my international Ebay-packages take way too long. So call me a wanderer, a dreamer or a twisted soul and I pled guilty of all 3, but I prefer to call it passion. The truth is these 3 parts are just a few charateristics of me. Reality is that either dreaming and wandering ain't paying my bills and since I am still paying my own bills, I pretty much have everything under control :-). Every person just needs to have thrills to keep his mind of the dull world of paying bills. Am I afraid of growing up? Nope, I love where I am and what I've learned so far, I just don’t like a lot of the so called aDULLt world. So I like to do it my way starring in my own roadmovie, playing and creating my own soundtrack while mixing up my own cocktails with some of my favourite flavours of the old, the present and the new. In the end I'm not "old school", but "all school"...so who knows I might cross your way someday and the passenger-seat might still be empty….
