About Me

At 25, Monica Ott has evolved into a gifted singer/songwriter whose songs demonstrate her knack for mature and introspective melodies and lyrics. Raised in Baltimore, MD, Monica has always searched for a way to incoporate her questions and thoughts about life with her vast array of musical influences. This unique marriage of ideas combined with her love of different musical genres has helped her to create the perfect balance of something new and unrecognizeable. After attending Muhlenberg College, Monica moved to the NYC area to pursue her career but felt discouraged being one of thousands trying to make it in the business with no direction. Knowing she needed an edge, Monica sought out music producer Alex Houton of Wu Shu Entertainment Group to help make her original sound come to life. His efforts along with one of NYC's top vocal coaches, Tina Shafer (Vanessa Carlton) has made Monica into a truly memorable artist.
