Me? I'm fine. Everything's fine like wine.

About Me

If you and I were walking down the street...and we found a saxophone...I could play it. I can cook a dish incorporating cheese, eggs and chilies. And cook it well. No, not an omelete... nice try my friend. I insist on hosting cookouts even though I possess no yard. I am size Extra Medium, and my clothing skews to a younger demographic. I can still pop but I can no longer lock. If I had money I would buy every painting that Jonathan Winters ever created...if I had the money. The "bread". Also, my Dad invented the wheelie, or so he tells me.

My Interests

Movies (new & old), lifting (booze), cookouts, old things, technology, mashed potatoes, the live rock and roll shows, battles of will vs. Spike the cat, meeting B-grade celebrities, family, friends, awkwardly groping my 'Activity Partners', showering

I'd like to meet:

I'm thinking that the optimal situation would be if you were a little kid growing up and your best friend's mom was Kim Deal. You could go to their house and she'd make wicked delicious sandwiches for lunch and you could hang out. That's what I'm thinking.

Music:

Guided By Voices (R.I.P.), The Shins, Interpol, Eels, Sinatra, Radiohead, East River Pipe, Yo La Tengo, Low, Jobim, Ella, Bill Frisell, Brubeck, Sparklehorse, Nick Drake, New Pornographers, Mirah, Tindersticks, Iron and Wine, Flaming Lips, My Morning Jacket, the late, great Mr. Elliott Smith, Pixies, Neutral Milk Hotel, The Darkness, The Rapture and Bell Biv Devoe (now you know). But right now? Dressy Bessy and M. Ward. Beat that!

Movies:

Taxi Driver, Raging Bull, Goodfellas, Fargo, The Big Lebowski, The Royal Tenenbaums, Waiting For Guffman, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, Amelie, Rushmore, Lawrence of Arabia, Manhattan, Annie Hall, Sleeper, The Godfather 1 & 2, It's a Mad Mad Mad Mad Mad Mad World, Lost in Translation, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Behind, The Mayor Of The Sunset Strip, Me and You and Everyone We Know

Television:

(most of these are out of print...but...), Curb Your Enthusiasm, Mystery Science Theater 3000, The Bob Newhart Show, I'm Alan Partridge, Seinfeld, Mr. Show, The Simpsons, Fawlty Towers, Python, The Dean Martin Celebrity Roast, Blackadder, [adult swim], The Office (U.K. of course, don't even start with this U.S. piece of horse's leavings.)

Books:

Presently enjoying John Hodgman's The Areas Of My Expertise.

Heroes:

"Talent is luck. The important thing in life is courage."
-- Woody Allen, "Manhattan"
