About Me

I adore my camera more than you'll ever know, as you can see I enjoy closeups... here are a few photographs. I also adore my rode bike more than you'll ever know. I fall fast for compassionate, altruistic, and socially conscious individuals. I'm inspired by those who are not afraid to explore every possibility, in impossible situations. I'm head over heels in love with life. The inequalities in this world motivate me. I'd rather talk about nature then clothes, photography then television, Love and Faith over religion..anyday. One of my greatest joys is reading, I'm inspired through humanitarian practice reviews and novels. I sometimes think I could make a fair contribution to this world if I were a trades person, I enjoy fixing things. My obsessions lately have been food, bike and photography related. I've been captivated by raw foodists. I'm a strong believer that healthy nutrition can drastically improve your life. Lately I cannot drag myself from dates, figs and almonds...forget chips and pizza! I've fallen in love with bikes, road bikes are on the top of my list. And yes, I'm planning on riding my single speed through this Winnipeg winter...I havn't slipped yet but dear God do I know it's coming. Jesus has played an integral part in my life. I'm so greatful for the passions that were placed in my heart from the beginning of me. I'm in awe of this world, though filled with strife, injustice, pain and suffering humantiy never ceases to rise from the ashes and show it's true beauty, if only in a moment, a picture or a conversation I'm thankful for these instances, they keep me hopeful..I feel so blessed that we all have different characteristics, passions, dislikes, motives, drives and views, making life undenibaly intriguing. I enjoy practicing Bikram Yoga..What is that you ask? Take 26 poses, a room heated to +42 degrees, an hour and a half, a half bucket of sweat later and the results you ask? Motivation, detoxification, energy, relaxation, and lean, toned muslces..did I mention strength of a bull? In the summer I managed to complete 60 days straight of this yoga, a challenge that inevibatly changed my life. I am a strong believer in healthy nutrition. I eat mostly fresh, raw foods...fruits, vegetables, nuts/seeds. I feel more energized and alive today then I have in the 21 years that I've inhabited this earth. Being healthy is something I hold dear, my mind is beginning to follow my body to a healthier note instinctively, it's amazing to bare witness too. I was away from home all last winter, being away made me realize we complain about Winnipeg way too much, I love this darling city with all my heart. I love standing on Albert Street on a hot summers day. P.s- my email is [email protected] msn [email protected] (I love old email addresses, don't you?)

My Interests

Bikes. In all their metal glory. My bike sustains my primary survival needs. A day without it, is comparative to a day without water. I'm interested in bike mechanics and bikes as a catalyst for sustainability. I enjoy propelling myself. I contemplate over ideas of optimizing health regularly. Raw foodism captivated me last summer, (thanks to another assertive raw foodist) and it continues to preside and remain one of the leading factors towards my lifestyle. I appreciate simplicity. I usually take the long way if possible, I still enjoy the excitement of waiting for a roll of film to be developed, and nothing beats making your own food from scratch. The unprocessed goods. Organic goods. Fruits and vegetables are the love of my life. Dodging potholes/cars/pedestrians on the bike. The release of pre-conceived ideas. The art of cleansing, detoxing and fasting. Drawing closer to those who are "presumably" socially akward or avoidant. Making new connections with unlikely candidates. Waking up well before the sun rises. I'm intrigued by bike messenger motivation. Debauching prototypical beauty. Appreciation of my long-standing friendships with the Ladies of Norwood. The simplicities I adore are; chaotically eating mangos wihout any utensils, writing orders on carbon paper (this was once my dream as a child). Afternoon Siestas, day dreaming. I enjoy being enthrawled, engulfed by positive persuits. Humanitarian aid work seems to occupy quite a bit of passion in me, mostly in theory for the moment. I used to think that travel was necessary for such a quest, I no longer believe that. There are so many opportunities for change here in this city it's overwhelming but also a form of motivation for me.This is what I think about all you ladies on your bicycles...

I'd like to meet:

I hold creative individuls in high regard. People less likely to stick out in a crowd are usually the ones who end up intriguing me beyond reason.
