I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

I was born in Charlotte, N.C. and grew up in Knoxville, T.N., home of drive-thru liquer stores, tractor traffic jams, and Krystals. When I was 13, my mother and I went to Los Angeles for a weekend getaway. We enjoyed it so much, we didnt return home, but instead sent for our basic belongings and rented an apartment.
I graduated from the University of California, Santa Barbara with a bachelors degree in Social Anthropology. I originally planned to major in couch burning with a minor in alcohol poisoning, but all of those spots were already filled, so I stuck with Anthro. I spent two years of college in ROTC, studied my junior year in Edinburgh, Scotland and got certified to sail small boats when I returned.when I returned to LA after college, I spent most of my time swing dancing at the Derby. I joined the dance team -Roscoes Rascals- and performed at different venues (Twice at the Hollywood bowl). I still dance whenever I get the slightest opportunity. Gotta dance!!!As much as I was in demand with my illustrious Anthropology degree (insert sarcasm here), I ended up working as a systems administrator for an ISP in Santa Monica. I worked there for over a year and then moved to Spain where I now eat tapas and drink wine all day. er...I mean, design and build websites all day.Its a living.

My Interests

I like to read. I adore dancing of any type, especially swing, ballroom and salsa. I enjoy hanging upside down doing strange circus activities 20 feet off the ground, or in other words, Silk. I have a fabulous time travelling to other countries and trying the typical foods of each region. And I really like making people laugh and smile.

I'd like to meet:

Interesting friends, possible dance partners, or anyone that wants a really exceptional website. I have no interest in finding a date so please dont contact me if your just looking for a girlfriend. Im taken. Thanks.

The Office Rocks.

Music:

Absolutely anything that touches me or makes me tap my feet.
Music is my playmate, my lover, and my crying towel.

Movies:

hmm.. anything from -Planes, Trains, and Automobiles- to huge fantasy blockbusters like -The Lord of the Rings-. Typically I like comedies more than other genres.

Television:

The only television that I can really see in English is, El Padre de la Familia (The Family Guy), Los Simpsons (do I really have to translate that?), and C.S.I. . Some of the other more painful options are Gilmore Girls and She-Spies. Obviously, I choose those moments to go cow-tipping.

Books:

I love them all. Some of my favorites, however, are:

LORD OF THE FLIES, by Williams Golding
1984, by George Orwell
HITCHHIKERS GUIDE TO THE GALAXY, by Douglas Adams
SABRIEL, by Garth Nix
CAPTIVATING, by John Eldredge
QUEEN OF THE DAMNED, by Anne Rice
RUSALKA, CHERNEVOG and YVGENIE by C. J. Cherryh
THE LORD OF THE RINGS by J. R. R. Tolkien (of course)
THE PICTURE OF DORIAN GRAY, by Oscar Wilde
WATERSHIP DOWN, by Richard Adams
and yes, I do like Harry Potter.

Heroes:

My father who always tries to do the right thing even if he has to pay the costs, and my best friend Samantha. I strive to be as loving, unselfish, and special as she.

My Blog

Do you laugh or cry about a day like this?

Look Ma! I'm getting blown up!

Hey! How did this country song get up my ass?

For some reason, I just could not sleep last night.  So, I got up and fiddled around putting some thoughts on paper and I think I accidentally wrote a short country song.  -Like to hear it? ...
