Magic permeated every aspect of our ancestor's lives. The fields, forests, barn, bath and hearth were all ruled by spectral beings, sometimes good, sometimes horrible. Each flame and river was a goddess or god, each flower and stone a sentient being. The spirits of the dead too, filled the Slavic world. Life-draining wampyr, trees housing the souls of the departed, fairy-folk and ancestral spirits were an integral part of life, demanding respect and often, sacrifice. I come from the Lands of Pagan Slavs. A land so beautiful and majestic it had to defend its beauty in over 40 wars. Our geography has been redefined many times. In certain periods of history, my land didn't even exist as a country. We've encountered countless battles, bloody uprising, genocide and oppresion.We shall not abandon the land of our ancestors!

I'm a huge metalhead to a point of being fanatical about it. And when I say "metal", I don't mean what most of you probably mean. My metal doesn't end with "core". It doesn't get played on tv or on the radio. You won't find it in hot topic or at the ozzfest.
I'm a grease monkey and love to play with airplanes. I've worked my ass off in school and plan to do it all over again in September. Aviation has been a passion of mine for years. Everyone should have a passion, whatever it may be. Unfortunately the more people I meet, the more I realize how empty minded todays society has become. Some people are given all the chances in the world to make their time on earth truly interesting and worthy, and they still blow it. And some (like myself) have to fight for everything we've got.
If you're planning on adding me, make sure you've got something to show for. Don't be just a loud profile with a huge list of friends and nothing to say. I might not be the most sociable person, but there is always a place (at least in my profile) for someone with an entertaining mind. As a matter of fact, I think it is time to downsize my list. It has grown to over 400 people now and most have not (in any way) contributed to making my life any wiser or more interesting.
Also I might add, that I never did, do not, and will not appreciate anyone who is not kind to animals. I chose to become a vegan and it has been one of the better choices I have ever made. While I don't ask anyone to change their beliefs for me, I do demand that you respect mine. Don't bother with educating me on the human body and what it needs. I know what mine doesn't and it's called meat, eggs, cheese, milk, leather, fur and pharmaceuticals/cosmetics tested on animals.
I don't chat or use Instant Messengers, so don't ask.
And I know my status is clearly indicated.
I was raised to stand up for myself. I was told to speak up for those who can not speak for themselves. And I am very well aware of the time passing me by.
