About Me

bipolykinkypagangamergeek. hippigoth metalhead lefthanded leftist poet and lover of many a beautiful thing, submissive and playful by nature...

scattered, but focused and passionate: this has always been a paradox for me.

I've a penchant for meeting new people, being fickle and falling in love, breathing and being and never regretting...

My Interests

my passions include food (both the preparation and consumption thereof), music (more consumption than creation here), playing with words (more upon the page than in my mouth as they tend to stumble about my teeth and lose themselves on my tongue), exploring the depths of my soul (oft resulting in my seeming disappearance for moments on end), and much much more in a continuing cycle of engulfing myself in this world's wonders and hiding from them and myself all at once.

I'd like to meet:

god(dess)

[edit: no, that is in no way a sexual reference. i'm being serious. if you are a god or goddess, feel free to say hi... but if you are looking to score, look elsewhere. no more married men looking to cheat on their wives with some young cock, k? thanks!]

not *looking* for more than friendships, but fate has a funny way of saying "oh yeah?" sometimes.

Music:

just about anything and everything... Jazz, Blues, Industrial, Goth, Death Metal, Classical, Turntablism, Trance, Folk... heh... lately, been listening to a lot of Tori Amos (well, always), Covenant, VNV Nation, Trivium, Faith and the Muse, Lamb of God, Jane's Addiction... mostly a mix of industrial, goth, trance, and metal in general. I go through phases ^_^

Movies:

ah... let's see... Baraka, Boondock Saints, the Dark Crystal, Labyrinth, Existenz, Requiem for a Dream, Stigmata, Secretary, Lord of the Rings, Ghost Dog, the Black Cauldron, the Incredible True Story of Two Girls in Love, Secret of Roan Inish, Once Were Warriors, Greg Araki's "teen apocalypse" trilogy, Heathers, Harold and Maude...

Television:

battlestar galactica, deadwood, various and sundry anime, the daily show, the colbert report, chapelle show, older food network shows, and cooking shows in general (julia child practically raised me ^_^)... but lordy keep bobby flay and emeril away from my tv! insert etc. here.

Books:

i'm into a lot of things here as well... genre-wise i read a lot of sci-fi fantasy and surreal type stuff... Haruki Murakami, Tolkein, Anne Rice, Douglas Adams, Neil Gaiman, Kafka... also into stuff like Anne Sexton, Sylvia Plath, Oscar Wilde... and spiritual types like C.S. Lewis, Anthony DeMello, Ghandi... and i love reading cookbooks!

Heroes:

my parents... really. my mother especially. I went through my periods of of resentment as a child, but over the years I've come to see what amazing people they both are and the obstacles they've overcome and lives they've touched, not only my own.
