About Me

The Conscripts are the second half of Steve Towson & The Conscripts, playing a diverse range of music that spans punk, rock, folk and reggae.
More of a concept than an entity in itself, the band has had a myriad of members, who all bring to the music their own styles and influences.

Influences: Amongst such an eclectic bunch of musos it's hard to pinpoint just a few influences, but Steve Towson & The Conscripts comparisons have included Billy Bragg, The Clash, The Pogues, The Ramones, Nick Cave, Leonard Cohen, and Dead Kennedys
