About Me

Hmmm...Sarcastic, ironic, shy, but can't shut up when you get me going; Follower of Christ, though I can't stand most Christians; I hate most things about most people and yet for some reason I believe that people are mostly good; introverted to say the least.I believe that, short of salvation and the ability to love, music is the greatest gift we were given. This is the easiest way for me to feel close to my God, through lyrics or often more powerfully without them. Music is a type of glue that holds sanity together and gives us the ability to describe or come to some idea about that which seems ineffable. Yeah, I'm a fan.

My Interests

Music, Writing, Theology, Philosophy, Apologetics, Sports, History, Beer (I enjoy it, Not an alcoholic), Dry Humor, Stand Up Comedy, Making other people groan at my sense of humor :)

I'd like to meet:

Kurt Vonnegut, Billy Corgan, Liam Gallagher, Nick Hornby, Sufjan Stevens, Rocky Votolato, and John Mayer so I can smack him and say "stop" Oh, and Xenu!
You Are Guinness
You know beer well, and you'll only drink the best beers in the world.
Watered down beers disgust you, as do the people who drink them.
When you drink, you tend to become a bit of a know it all - especially about subjects you don't know well.
But your friends tolerate your drunken ways, because you introduce them to the best beers around. What's Your Beer Personality?

The Artist

Everyone that knows me by now realizes how much of a music (and probably beer) snob I have become.  I don't really care and actually find it quite endearing because it's one arena of life that I ...

I realize that I've let my project go for a while and for that I apologize, as I do plan to continue when things at work calm down a bit.  However, this is not the only thing that is on my mind, ...

Moby - God Moving Over The Face Of The Waters

So this would seem to be the turning point.  I've shared this with a few people, now I'll try to see if I can't put it into written word.  I still have very little if any real hope left.&nbs...

Nine Inch Nails - Hurt/The Smiths - Asleep

Okay, so this is interesting to me.  I would've never thought too much about putting these two together until I started writing for each.  I couldn't tell myself which one of these occurred ...

Marilyn Manson - Long Hard Road Out of Hell

Oddly enough this a bit of glimmer of hope.  Scary to think about from Manson, huh?  Well, the reason was that even though I saw the how hard the road out of my own personal was, I wanted ou...

Smashing Pumpkins - To Forgive & Fuck You (An Ode To No One)

Back after a one day hiatus.  I was putting this one off to be truthful.  These are put together because on the album they're back to back and the contrast is both masterful and painful.&nbs...

Nine Inch Nails - Something I Can Never Have

This a very soft song, which is odd from Trent at this point.  Soft, but heavy on raw emotion and suppressed ire.  Trent isn't talking about lost love from what I can tell, it seems much dee...
