About Me

Starting his musical career in his homeland of Canada, Joel has recently moved to California to be closer to the 'biz'. Focussing on songwriting as a whole, Joel has written close to a hundred songs and has recorded about thirty of them, trying to build up a decent portfolio. Growing up in the South Pacific, Africa, and Canada, Joel's wild array of musical influences from Reggae to Afro-beat to Rock and even Hip-hop give his music a flavor that is unlike any other. So keep watching out for this rising musician as he continues make news (see blog entitled: Newspaper), win awards (see blog entitled: KLLY 95.3: 1st Place) as well as write and record songs.By the way, we finally got some music up here. These are Joel's bedroom demos. These recordings are very low budget, low quality, and recorded in places like bedrooms, parking lots, and closets using the very finest welfare equipment including karaoke mics and a lot of duct tape. If you enjoy these even the slightest bit, keep tuning in. We can't say exactly what Joel has up his sleeves right now, but he is working with some very cool people in the industry and you're about to see and hear some fun stuff. Check out this video below.

I shared a gangsta' handshake with Citizen Cope.

I went to see Citizen cope in Hollywod at the House of Blues, and I was early, so I took a walk down Sunset Strip. And who steps out of a restaurant in front of me? None other than the man himself. So...
