Nargil was founded to turn J.R.R. Tolkien's tales into music. Mixing freezing Black Metal with Doom passages, its main motives are expressed by using three languages - German, Sindarin and Black Speech. A 5 song demo CD (anticipated title: "Angrenost") will be released until the beginning ov 2008."Nargil" is a combination ov the elvish words "Nar" (=fire) and "Gil" (= star). So "Nargil" stands for "Firestar" - nothing else as the sun itself. Tolkien uses the word "Nargil" also for the shortest ov Mordor's four rivers. The Nargil ran through the southern parts ov the dark land, flowed into the Sea ov Nurn and fructified this region. It's origin was in the south-eastern part ov the Ephel Dúath - a place called the "Nargil Pass". This was one ov the few ways troups ov the Haradrim could reach Mordor.
This meaning is the reason for calling my project "Nargil":
On one hand the term stands for the origin ov live, for something that makes the dark turn into light - but on the other hand it is a synonyme for the upcoming ov the black forces.
