BLUE MASS APPEAL

Thank you for visiting the BLUE MASS APPEAL space. My name is Lyndi Gravell. This band was formed in oct 2004 . After playing the Karaoke circuit and winning a few contests locally my husband was fed up!! "Real musicians don't need to sing karaoke, live music is where it's at" were his words. In my garage with a small PA was where I started. Next were the musicians. My first attempt was a great one but no cigar. It was my first heartache with the music business. I thank them for getting me my start and to this day I truly love them all. My second attempt consisted of 4 guys whom I cherish dearly. This was what I was meant to do and they made it happen for me. Everything else just fell into place. Without my husband Greg, I would have never gotten this far. He was bound and determined to learn what he needed to know to run the sound for the band. He read every book and manual and took every piece of advise from anyone who would give it. My dearest thanks to him...Never in my wildest dreams did I ever think I would be doing this when I was 30 something.. but here I am and I'm running with it. We primarily perform classic rock favorites. We do have a few original songs that we perform as well. When I put this band together originally, my purpose was to appeal to the 30 plus crowd who grew up in the 70's and 80's. Little did I know that the younger generation loved our music too. This is how I came up with the band name ...BLUE MASS means (A quantity of matter cohering together so as to make one capsule) Blue mass was recommended as a remedy for such widely varied illnesses. It was a magistral preparation, compounded by pharmacists themselves based on their own recipes. Our pill today consists of 5 talented musicians who have a passion for music and love to rock out!!!! I added APPEAL which means- acceptance of the general population--WHAT A CONCEPT !!! We can appeal to just about anyone. Sorry guys theres not much country in our shows however thats where our roots are. But what do you expect...we are from Texas!! I started out singing country music but rock n roll is what I truly love. We are all about playing the music people want to hear. Bringing back those memories was our vision. If you haven't checked us out, you must. We aren't exactly budding youngsters and I dont know how long this will go on, but we're enjoying the ride for now. We truly value our fans, old and new. Without you we wouldn't be possible....PEACE...LOVE...AND ROCK N ROLL...
