Blend:er (pronounced as blender) is an electronic music creator and a noise enthusiast who lives in Cavite, Philippines. He creates music that tries to stir the imagination. He started experimenting with audio acrobatics and technoid sonic landscapes in 1999. One of his tracks is also included in Mood Swing Theater Volume 1 (2004) released by Kittenwhip Compilation, a non-profit CD-R label based in Atlanta, Georgia, USA. He has also done collaboration /remix projects with other artists, including: Balalaika (2003) with Acid42, founder of QED Net label; Beg for Freedom Noise Ver. 1 (2003) with Drop, a hardcore punk band from Cavite; Myopia Ver. 2 (2004) with G.No, a Filipino ambient music artist based in Florida, USA; and Don't Take Your Life: Bless the Soul Mix (2005) with Eudoxia Vervain. He is affiliated with Electronica Manila Collective, a collective of Filipino electronic music creators and enthusiasts around the world. In February 17, 2004 he performed in an Electronica Manila Session held in Rock Radio Cafe Alabang. Those who heard his rare live set described his music as visually stimulating, cinematic, dramatic and odd. Blend:er is Cris Garcimo (a.k.a. Justin) on programming, analog synth, acoustic guitar, noise and pedal effects. He is currently finishing an EP entitled "Who Wants To Be a Robot?".
He is also affiliated with S.A.B.A.W. Sound Art Collective. S.A.B.A.W. is a non-profit sound art collective that is dedicated to promoting and releasing the best in avant-garde, experimental and noise music in the Philippines.
