Local bands, mostly- metal and punk... but yes, the rumors are true: I am a better RnB singer than anything else. :)
Movies:
Jeez- off the top of my head- DIRECTORS: Kevin Smith (Jay and Silent Bob,) Stanley Kubrick (Clockwork Orange and Full Metal Jacket), Steven Spielberg (tons of flicks- I loved Jurassic Park as a kid,) Tom Hanks (duh- the war movies,) Mel Gibson (ONLY the war movies... oh yeah- and The Passion of the Christ,) Sam Raimi (Evil Dead,) Peter Jackson (Lord of the Rings,) James Cameron (Terminator and Titanic,) and Gary Marshall (Pretty Woman.) That's just off the top of my head. Don't get me started on actors and actresses. :)
Television:
Nope. It's crap. If I have to watch, it's The Sopranos, Robot Chicken, stand-up comedy, WWE Raw, Alton Brown, Spongebob, Family Guy, or sometimes VH1 has-beens kind of shows... and I'm a dork: I like the weather channel.
Books:
I like Kurt Vonnegut's "Welcome to the Monkey House" (great short stories,) "Candide" by Voltaire (a great sattirical novel,) the Bible (interesting, if not historical,) and The Satanic Bible (the original...) and I'm a sucker for cheesy girly magazines and WWE agazine, too.
Heroes:
Myself- you have to be your own hero. My mother- my guide, and a saint in her own right. My grandmother and aunties- beautiful, inspiring, strong women. My brother- a marine, and an example to us all. My boyfriend- the biggest pain-in-the-ass I've ever known... but I love him.
