How I made my profile:
I used MyWackoSpace.com 's amazing MySpace Editor .Hello. Welcome to Mermaid's Masquerade's Myspace. Here's a bit of info on this company. Owner, Bernadette F. Dugas, has had a fascination with costuming from an early age. Her mother, Doris Dugas, was her inspiration. She taught Bernadette how to sew while still in grammar school, as well as design and create her own free-spirited fashions. In her adult life, Bernadette has worked in television, film, and professional theatre. In all aspects of entertainment, she has always been interested and involved in costuming. Her designs have won the “Judges Award†and “First Convention†awards with the National Costumer' s Association, which she has been a member of since 1996.Bernadette opened her costume shop, Mermaid's Masquerade, in 1996 when her mother declared that it was spring cleaning time and she would have to do “something with all those costumes!†She recruited her older sister, Bridgette, to help her get the shop open and running. After the first year, the business had outgrown the building and Mermaid's Masquerade moved from 1200 to 7000 square feet.Jody Kimble, cute, pert and sassy, came walking in to the shop one day in response to an ad for help. Bernadette and Bridgette sat a few minutes in conversation with her, and that was all that it took. As Jody walked out of the shop, they looked at each other and said simultaneously, “I like her!â€Jody is now manager of Mermaid's Masquerade and attends all conventions and costume shows with Bernadette as her assistant buyer. Jody has a great sense of costuming and accessorizing, and has a special interest in makeup. And she handles all the book work! That makes her really special! Jody is an integral part of the success of Mermaid's Masquerade. Not only did Jody bring more interest, excitement and knowledge to the shop; she also brought her mother.Rea Romano, known as “Sweety†(a name she lives up to), has recently come on board at Mermaid's Masquerade. Sweety, at first, came to help with that ever-growing pile of costumes you get back the day after Halloween. She wanted only to work in the back. Today she helps run both the front and back of the shop, assists with both retail and rental costuming, and manages the store while Bernadette and Jody are at market. She is fast becoming an important part of the success of the costume shop. Also new to the company, is Michelle (known as Lil Bit around the shop). Michelle is a little woman with a big smile. She has an eager desire to work and help anyone who needs it in the shop. Her desire to learn the art of costuming is a fresh inspiration to us all. While we are introducing you to our staff, it would be remiss of us to overlook another member of our team: Our feisty spirit, “Lil' Nasty.†You can't see him, but he lets you know if you're not giving him enough attention. And when Halloween comes around, boy is he excited! His contributions are many….hiding scissors, moving costumes, rearranging money, flinging hats, moving objects to the very edge of the desk, putting keys where you'd least expect to find them, and Jody's favorite: hiding the bank bag! He is special, harmless, and sometimes frustrating……but we love him!Welcome to our world! And thank you for your support!http://mermaidscostumes.net/
