Mr Sensi was born in a small town of Kettering Northamptonshire on November 5th 1977. From a youngster he had a passion for music which probably stemmed from his father who had roots in the Reggae sound system scene in the late 60s early 70s. Mr Sensi started off his music career at the early age of 15 as part of a youth sound system called EMPIRE this is where he developed his skills (rarely seen nowadays) on the turntables as well as those of a musical compare. The sound system played Reggae, Hip-hop, R&B at a range of different events and clubs in the Northamptonshire area. They soon developed a name for themselves as the best up and coming sound system in the county. Playing with Empire brought Mr Sensi into contact with a lot of the people involved with the music scene in the area, and he soon became known as the business man from the outfit. At this young age Sensi realised that he could play a part in the music scene in his area. Mr Sensi hooked up with one of the most influential people in his life in the early nineties (JAY-NYCE). Jay-Nyce was the most successful DJ in the county and he saw something in Sensi and decided to take him under his wing. Nurturing his interpersonal skills and confidence to the point where Sensi was able to go and seek work for himself as a solo Dj or as part of his sound system Empire. Over the next couple of years Jay-Nyce spent more time with Sensi taking him along to his gigs and stage shows etc. They also spent time creating mix tapes to distribute to people around the way which proved to be extremely popular. By this time there was a big interest in Hip-hop in the area and one or two other djs started to pop up. Another Dj that caught the eye of Jay-Nyce was a young guy from the area by the name of Skully. Skully was a straight up hip-hop Dj but Jay-Nyce persuaded him that the clubs would have more work for a Dj who was able to play a variety of music styles (R&B, Hip-Hop, Jungle, Reggae, Ragga). Over the next few years the trio spent a lot of time together playing at a range of different venues. Unfortunately Jay-Nyce passed away in Jan 1999. Since then Sensi & Skully promised to continue his legacy and take their music careers to their full potential.************************************************** ************************************************************ ******************
