About Me

(( JRS - IMAGES IN STEREO ))
As VJ JRS I play live images the way musicians play sound. My beats work in light forms. Using laptops, playback, mixers, MIDI instruments and slew of other gear the rapid manipulation of the visual language becomes possible. I began as a way to interact with the bands that worked with my creative group, The Visual Underground, for use during our live rock shows. This last year I have had the opportunity to work with amazing musicians and local artists. Our collaborations have raised the bar for live shows. They are the shows that you remember. I like rock n' roll music. French New Wave film. Working for myself. Going out when I feel like it. A lack of television. The language of images. Books about self-discovery that are not in the self-help isle. Simplification. Driving really fast to a new Album. The art of the spontaneous. That moment when laughter becomes a cackle................
