The breezes blow and the trees, they grow... That's really all I NEED to know.

About Me

I do believe that there is an innate understanding of what is right, what is good, and what is wrong, that which is harmful. I refuse to accept that there is confusion or misunderstanding, rather I believe there is always a choice between the two. It is our responsibility to choose the hopeful and good.
I am moved by forgiveness.
Guidami dall'odio al'amore, dala guera ala pace.
I hope to make choices that are inclusive. Exclusivity betrays fear.

Truth: I have had Glamour Shots taken in a mall.

I am finding ways to be barefoot in life. Literally. I have wide feet. Shoes hurt sometimes.

I over- and mis-use the semi-colon. Dashes are also a mystery.

I am perpetually optimistic that 5-7 Business Days means tomorrow.

I love those moments when something catches you off guard and opens up your world a little bit more. Those moments when a bag of carrots makes you smile. There's a story.

My Interests

Madison Elizabeth, Arizona Sweet Tea (Southern Style), Grammar and its ever changing rules

I'd like to meet:

Natalie Maines

Al Gore

Michael Moore

Add to these three Prince Harry. I have to know if the carpet matches the drapes.

Music:

Marc Broussard, Guster (newly cemented in the top position), Jennifer Nettles, Nickle Creek, Mark Knopfler, Damien Rice, Indigo Girls

I was raised on Oldies 95.3. Between Forrest Gump's and Dirty Dancing's soundtracks I am set.I am admittedly not up on things popular, especially music. But, I do love a good song.

Movies:

I (Heart) Huckabees, Magdalene Sisters, Almost Famous, Rosemary's Baby (I think it's brilliant), Legally Blonde and Drop Dead Gorgeous, Y Tu Mama Tambien, Dangerous Lives of Altar Boys, Harold and Maude, Freaky Friday (the original with Barbara Harris)

Television:

It must be said, I suppose, that I am a huge Grey's Anatomy fan. Also, I will watch Top Chef and Project Runway come rain or shine. Everything else is secondary, though Studio 60 has held my interest for a few weeks now. Brothers and Sisters has begun to wreak havoc on my psyche.

Books:

Dry (Boroughs), Missing Piece Meets the Big O (Silverstein)I am currently reading The Impossible Will Take a Little While. It's a collection of essays and stories compiled for those who find it difficult to fathom our world is where it is but who look for hope and light. I am still looking. I hope I don't stop.

Heroes:

'Oh I didn't know you had a Christmas Tree.' 'We don't. That's Timmy.' 'The Christmas Tree?' 'Get out.'

[Hope is] an ability to work for something because it is good, not just because it stands a chance to succeed. It is not the conviction that something will turn out well, but the certainty that something makes sense. - Vaclav Havel
