Thea Gill is best known for her portrayal of Lindsay Peterson on Showtime's landmark series, QUEER AS FOLK (ACTRA Award nomination - Outstanding Performance by a Female). Currently she can be seen as Diana Childs on Here! TV's drama, DANTE'S COVE. She has also starred in; MASTERS OF HORROR - HOMECOMING (ranked among the Best Films of 2005 by New York Magazine); SIGHTINGS - HEARTLAND GHOST; TRUTH; COMMON GROUND (written by legendary playwrights Paula Vogel and Terrence McNally); BLISS - NINA'S MUSE (Golden Sheaf Award - Best Actress); and THE COLLECTOR - THE MOTHER (Leo Award for Best Performance by a Female). Recent film credits include: SWAP (Leo Award nomination - Best Actress); and EIGHTEEN (with Sir Ian Mckellen and Alan Cumming in which she sang the Genie Award nominated theme song). A noted stage actress, some of her favorite roles include: Elena in Chekhov's UNCLE VANYA; Desdemona in Shakespeare's OTHELLO; Catherine in David Auburn's Pulitzer Prize winning play, PROOF; Sarah in Joanna Glass' TRYING; and Claudia in Joanna Murray-Smith's HONOUR. During QUEER AS FOLK'S 5-year run, Thea also received numerous awards for her accompanying humanitarian efforts in the service of gay and lesbian rights and equality. These include: the 2007 Human Rights Award presented by the Jim Owles Liberal Democratic Club in New York; the 2006 Spotlight Award from the Washington D.C. chapter of Parents, Family and Friends of Lesbians and Gays (PFLAG); and the 2003 National Leadership Award from the National Gay and Lesbian Task Force. She'll next be seen in MULLIGANS, an independent film by writer/actor Charlie David.
