Band Members: Bill Pettijohn has been lead singer of Moonlight Drive since its conception in 1981 with Tom Brame (guitar) Bruce Moore (drums) Tim Layman (bass) Mark Casterline (keyboards) and Ray Varga (saxaphone and van driver) The original lineup toured extensivly in the U.S. and Canada. Pettijohn and the band appeared in the Uli Lamour B movie Stranger Than Paradise. In 1984 the rigors of touring and the desires of band members to move to other things ended the original formation of MLD. However Moonlight Drive continued on shortly after with various members. This was Known as the Revolving Doors period. Bill Pettijohn was the constant member throughout the variety of configurations as well as, of course to the present. In 1989 Tom Brame once again hooked up with Pettijohn and "reformed" the Revolving Doors into a stable unit and welcomed Al Berdysz on drums and Dave Holmberg on Keyboards. Brame left Moonlight Drive to pursue session work in Nashville in 1996. Teague Purtell then joined in on guitar. Holmberg and Berdysz are also in a band called Sodium which plays original music loosely influenced by Tom Waits, The Doors, Miles Davis, Pink Floyd, SOD, psychedelic and funk and heavy rock among others. Holmberg will soon release a solo CD called The Dead and The Mad. Details TBA.(click on HOLMBERG profile in friends list for more details). Teague plays guitar and plays in an original band called Tripfuse. You can find more info on Tripfuse by using links on this page.
