I love punctuation! Especially when used right and not in excess! Music and Musicians. Writers. The intellectual and the intelligent. People with identity. People who are fun to talk to. Fantasy books are a weakness. Animals. Fuzzy things in general.
If you want to be my friend send me a message first. I only friend real people. "It's hard to hold the hand of anyone who's reaching for the sky just to surrender..." -Leonard Cohen "The Stranger Song"
I'm eclectic. Right now Floater is my favorite band. (I go see them in concert as much as possible). But I like Blue October, Brand New, Interpol, the Killers, Buckethead, Kenna, System of a Down, and Late Tuesday. She Wants Revenge. Leonard Cohen. The soundtrack to Hedwig and the Angry Inch. The Soundtrack to Moulin Rouge. The Cure (sometimes). The Postal Service. Muse. Death Cab's "Plans" album. Keane. Portishead. My Chemical Romance. Thom Yorke. The Bravery. Angels and Airwaves. Say Anything. Lotsa else.
Immortal by Enki Bilal (Italian indie film), Princess Bride, Labyrinth, Donnie Darko, Sin City, Kung Fu Hustle. I'm big into horror films as long as there's someone I can cling tenaciously to while watching. You will lose circulation if you watch movies with me. Saw 1,2, and 3. Texas Chainsaw, the 2003 version. Legend is the only movie I think Tom Cruise is any good in. Anything with Tim Curry. Or John Malcovitch. Three Musketeers. I'm a hopeless romantic. How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days. Gothika. V for Vendetta. Memoirs of Geisha, although I was disappointed that they branched from the book so much... Hedwig and the Angry Inch. 300.
I haven't had consistent TV since December '06. Just Fox. I dig House... Other than that I'm really into Crossing Jordan. Mythbusters. I watch a sad amount of Animal Planet when I can. All of the solving crimes shows (Law and Order, and just recently CSI), all the real-life solving crime shows on A&E and CourtTv.
Authors: Mercedes Lackey, Robert Jordan, Anne Bishop, Anne McCaffery, Sherri Tepper, and JK Rowling. The Sevenwaters trilogy. The Banned and the Banished series. Most of the Gregory Maguire books (Wicked, Son of a Witch, Confessions of an Ugly Stepsister). Memoirs of a Geisha was excellent. Neil Gaiman, Neverwhere and American Gods. Anazasi Boys was good too. The Black Jewels trilogy and Dreams Made Flesh. -recommend. The Ill Made Mute, the whole Bitterbynde triology was good. I heart series-s. All the Dragon Riders books. I've read all the Jane Auel's Earth's Children books but forgotten most of it... Firethorn by Sarah Micklem. Sir Apropos of Nothing and Woad to Wuin by Peter David. The Green Rider by Kristen Britan, and it's sequel. I have so many books.
