Very seldom do you here the term, " Gone Ludacris " in the music industry as it relates to making it in the business. It's seldom heard because it seldom happens. You see, "Gone Ludaris" is what some A&R reps might scream when they see radio talent that's ready for record industry stardom in front of the camera. That's exactly what they are screaming about the latest hip-hop sensation, LUV. The 23 year old New York native is quickly working his way though the politics of radio ratings success stories to seeing his own songs chart BDS. LUV held down full time radio gigs in Richmond Virginia before being sought out to do the same thing in Charleston, South Carolina. LUV always new he had a tremendous talent, but never thought he would find himself entertaining thousands of radio listeners each week. After interviewing many rappers during his night time radio show and never passing up the opportunity to show them his stuff - he left radio to pursue his true passion, being an artist. The transition from radio to records hasnt been easy. I gave up all the money I was making doing radio full time to work for nothing. I think I will definitely have stories to tell to my children and grandchildren, explains LUV. LUV quickly started putting his radio contacts to good use and ask artist like David Banner and Freeway to jump on tracks hes been putting out in the streets. Im going to let radio work for me- I know how radio people think and so I just letting that work to my advantage, he added. LUV is working on putting out a mixtape with fellow radio station dj, Chuck T. The independent artist also had success last year by seeing his unofficial Alisha Keys remake chart BDS all over the place. While in Richmond working radio, LUV met Trey Songs , and the remake Costa Rica has charted over 300 spins on BDS.After opening for major artist such as Juvenile, Lil Wayne, Trinia, and the Ying Yang Twins LUV will spend much of 2007 focusing on putting out his debut album and touring with T-pain and JAMS College Tour. LUV closes by saying, This is all part of a movement Im doing with my label, I see I said Entertainment, and the world will soon notice the lil dude from New York who help energize the south.
