Cleaning house with kids still growing up is like shoveling snow when it's snowing: Phyllis Diller

About Me

I grew up in New England and often miss the crackling of the fall leaves and white Christmases. Although, I have to say, I don't miss the aftermath of a snow fall: the dirty, slushy, sometimes yellow snow that usually has to be shoveled from driveways and walkways by somebody. I have 4 beautiful grandsons because I count my signifcant other's grandson as one of mine and he knows me as Gramma, too. I love spending time with all of them, loving them, spoiling them, setting up a tent in the living room, playing games, having water soaker fights... did I mention spoiling them, then sending them home to mommy & daddy?

My Interests

Family, books, music, movies, sew, spend time with my grandsons... a true homebody

I'd like to meet:

The Ghosts of Christmases Past, Present, & Future.

Music:

Anything except Rap, Opera, or really hard rock. IM.aspx?friendid=247334107"

Movies:

Almost any genre except real horror type. A favorite classic is "Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid" with Newman & Redford. "A Knight's Tale", "Where the Heart Is", "The Bourne" Series, "National Treasure", "X-Men", "Spiderman", Superman", "Batman" etc, and just about any Disney movie round out my faves.

Television:

NCIS, CSI, Criminal Minds, Numbers, Cold Case...see the trend here? I also like some SitComs and have been known to watch the Disney Channel with or without my grandkids.

Books:

The macabre (Stephen King, Dean Koontz), romance (think Danielle Steel), mystery, crime. I don't read much in Westerns unless it's a romantic mystery crime set in the West. I like Leon Uris, Stephen King, Clive Cussler, Danielle Steel, John Grisham and a variety of other writers. I read mostly for pleasure, not for deep insight.

Heroes:

All the guys and gals who serve or have served in the military, firemen, policemen, and anyone else who puts their life on the line every day to keep the rest of us safe.
