Born in Mobile Alabama, Beez moved to Southwest Philadelphia at 11 years old where he spent the rest of his teenage years. Being that he’s from the south, his early influences were rappers like Luke, 8Ball, MJG, UGK, and Scarface. At ten, Beez was influenced to start MC’ing himself. When he moved to Philadelphia, he was exposed and influenced by some East Coast rappers like Kool G Rap, and Big Daddy Kane. Only after Beez went to the military, did his rap career get serious.
Although far away, this rapper found home in Tokyo. He would frequent hip-hop clubs, and participate in hip-hop battles. There was no competition for the American born giant. He won every battle he was in! As he became better as a rapper, he became bigger as a name. For two years whenever a big named hip hop or r&b artist came to town, Beez opened up for them. But after opening up for acts like The Roots, Outkast, Dj Kid Capri and Usher, Beez got kicked out of the military " i was making to much money with my music" , he says. He got in some trouble and boom he was gone.
Back home in Philadelphia, Beez noticed that all the music he listened to overseas was “old news†to us in The States. He had to sit the battles out and pay attention more. “I had to re-invent myselfâ€, he says. After a year, a few hundred studio sessions, and performances up and down the East Coast including every club and most small bars in Philadelphia, Beez is re-invented! His name is slowly creeping up to the big leagues of Philadelphia, and this southern/east coast rapper with worldly experiences is ready to Blow!
