We are currently recording material for our new album "Soundtracks For Empty Scripts". The release is set for late Q3 this year. We are also releasing an EP or single sometime during the next two months.
"Soundtracks For Empty Scripts" has truly been a joyful experience for us. The album, heavily influenced by motion pictures and the emotional states of mind captured by a film's soundtrack, takes us back to our roots as a band. The inspiration for this album comes from what we're truly passionate about as musicians and individuals, and is sort of a reminder of why be started out 9 years ago. Dreamy and melancholic tracks combined with a "big" production style is the very essence of Fenomenon, and what you can expect to hear when "Soundtracks For Empty Scripts" hit the stores in 5 months time.
We'd like to thank all of our fans for their continued interest in our work, and for the incredible amount of comments and feedback through the years. We sincerely hope our forthcoming album will be to your liking!
All the best,
Fenomenon
BAND BIO
Fenomenon is Kjetil Ingebretsen, Håvard Rosenberg and Ruben Dalen from Stavanger, Norway. In 2000 they signed with London label Nuphonic, and released the two critically acclaimed EP's “Pacific Memories†and Visjon.Nord†before Nuphonic was suddenly liquidated.
Fenomenon was kind of a “compilations favorite†during the chill-out era, and the tracks released by Nuphonic were licensed to over 30 different albums during 2001, 2002 and 2003. The tracks also appeared in various commercials and a video game, and in 2005 the instrumental track “Solara†could be heard in Michael Bay’s action/sci-fi film “The Islandâ€.
Because of Fenomenon’s many international appearances, they quickly got the attention of many indie labels, both large and small. After careful consideration, and being “burned†by Nuphonics demise, the band decided to work with a label closer to home. Fenomenon’s album debut “Hourglass†was released in 2004 by Norwegian label Beatservice, and distributed throughout Europe and Asia by VME. Fenomenon released their second album “In Stereo†through Beatservice the following year. In 2006, much to their fan base’s liking, Fenomenon released the complete downbeat/chill-out album originally recorded for Nuphonic in 2000, under the name “Pacific Memories: The Early Tapesâ€.
