Eastern Glow was formed back in 2007 under the name Atomic Blue. Formed by Lead Guitarist, Jake Mikolas, and Bassist, Tom Hicks, the band took a promising start. The original line-up of the band was Jake Mikolas, Tom Hicks, Dylan Sheehan (Rhythm Guitar), Matt Bazel (Drums), and Brad Jemmi (Vocals). In mid-September, the band had changed their name to Lacking Confidence, only temporarily since they found out there was already a thriving band named Atomic Blue in California, but tensions arose within the band, ending with the departure of Brad Jemmi, and Matt Bazel. Jake found a new drummer in the fast-handed, long-haired drummer Patrick Bochenek. They had a little bit of trouble finding a new singer, but while the search continued, Connor Buchwietz, a good friend of Jake's, filled in while they searched for a singer. In late November of 2007, Tom was able to persuade his friend Kevin Scully to become the singer for the group. In need of a new name because of the lose of two band members, they decided to go with Eastern Glow, there is a special meaning behind the name, but the members do not want to disclose it just yet. The band had then worked for 6 more months, creating about 10 new original songs, but Kevin struggled in getting the material set in a comfortable position to play shows. And in late May of 2008, Kevin Scully quit the band. Within in need of another singer, Jake and Patrick were able to get a good friend by the name of Chris Zeglin to become their singer. Charismatic, loyal, and fluent, Zeglin is now a part of Eastern Glow, already surpassing all previous singers. Eastern Glow has one show lined up for the remainder of the summer, but once the school year commences, shows will be popping up left and right for the band, that just like to do what they do, and hopefully make a good living out of it.
