DJ peace.in.the.east started spinning plates in 2001 in Heidelberg. From the beginning i focused on the intensive music of late sixties till early seventies. Given the inspiration of friends who already collected records since years, i became to know bands like the 13th Floor Elevators, West Coast Pop Art Experimental Band, Hunger, Group 1850, Sweet Smoke and so on. What is called the Psychedelic Underground was now on my focus, as i startet to collect some records. Given the many mainstream partys with music "from Abba to Zappa", i felt the need for something different. The first parties i organized where simply called "Sixties Underground", i was djing together with my friend Wolf from the collectors Label "World in Sound" - he brought the most rare and oscure records ever seen!
In 2003 i moved to Berlin and started to DJ here. Then, in 2005, Wolf and me founded the TRIP IN TIME series, taking place at Villa Nachttanz in Heidelberg. This is where it is happening now, a party with Psychedelic Underground Music mixed & selected by us, and with live bands, performing in the basement. The Highlight of 2005 was the Moonhead Happening No.1 in Walldorf, that we co-organized. With Treacle People, Siena Root, Fantasyy Factoryy, Stoned Circus and Vibravoid we had a unique line-up and several lightshows were blowing minds of the fascinated audience!
DJ peace.in.the.east now concentrates on organization and promotion, but keeps spinning plates at selected events.
