..armed with limbs you can't depend on for the best defense..

About Me

Sitting with paper and pen Ready to go But there is nowhere to touch upon No blissful memory No string that connects and stretches like you wouldn't believe My friends grow and move on Due time Do time The things that we envision can sleep even when written I fight these feelings of worthlessness Reminders and sticky notes on my closet door These little mental notes that disappear in a distant crevice in my mind This means nothing I view my mind as a region of space that contains a clutter of spreading size circumferenced by an opening where an occasional spill might occur Was I even there when that happened ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

What Famous Leader Are You?
personality tests by similarminds.comMid-way between happiness and sadness Boiling but never over-flowing Forced to only make a better come back More powerful and poignant then falls again Destructive lust for life erected On the verge pricked up like a picket Fearing to respond to the tempting but malevolent call of the other side

My Interests

Spending time with Ilana and Dahlia and learning, literature, music, knowledge, obsessing over my body, yoga and bike riding (accompanying the previous statement), meditation , philosophy, linguistics , letting go of desires (which is a constant struggle as indicated by the very definition of my interests), fine dining, the human race, people watching, enjoying life with friends/family, creating, dancing, singing, playing an instrument (even if it sounds terrible on occasion, which is always after drinking in excess....not soo bad with just a few, though), and leaving home for adventures.

I'd like to meet:

My ancestors, your ancestors....Noam Chomsky and carnies...oh, wait, those are my ancestors.

I am mostly reading text books. I am very fond of The Green Book of Language Revitalization in Practice written by Hinton, Leanne, and Kenneth Hale. Oh yeah and the Environment and Religion book (chock full of religious perspectives and what type of influence these perspectives have on followers in their treatment of the environment) that I read for Interdisciplinary Perspectives on the Environment.

Falling

I have a recurring dream that I am driving or am a passenger in a car and,  for whatever reason, the car will go off of an overpass, cliff or just an elevated surface of some sort.  ...

A few things

OK.  So, here in a few days, I am doing my Senior checklist to make sure I have everything in order for graduation.  I actually thought that I had done that, but, apparently, that checklist ...

Cricket

The other night a cricket crawled on my foot and it startled me, but I didn't startle it. I thought that was strange, but not as strange as its behavior over the next 14 hours.  It slept next&nb...

My daughter tonight

When I told her to take her skirt to her laundry hamper, promptly told me as she exited the room "it is a dress, not a skirt, mommy." Sheesh.

Time reveals

Many things. Ever thought of news fasting? This is something that I think any person that views, listens or reads news extensively, should try.  One day a week to start and increase one day...

Getting Injured

My 4 yr. old has broken her L arm right above the elbow, and I guess it is kind of a "freak" place for it to happen.  One doctor calls her stoic, but when the shock lifted and the pai...
